URBAN BACKPACK
Urban BackPack is a strategic initiative designed to provide essential resources to the homeless and financially impoverished, for the purpose of magnifying Christ. We start by identifying those in need on street corners and under bridges in the greater Houston area. Once we identify those in need, we have an authentic conversation with them, pray with them over their needs, share the gospel, and give them the backpack off of our back. Each backpack includes key physical resources, a Bible, the Roman Road, and a bus pass with directions to get to the Star of Hope. During our encounters, we discuss additional needs and coordinate follow-up meetings to meet those needs. In addition, we connect them with other ministries that can help them gain restoration in the specific areas of need that we are able to identify. Building authentic and genuine relationships opens the door for us to continue to share the Gospel with those that we meet in our follow-up meetings.
The Financial Fold of Freedom
The Financial Fold of Freedom is an initiative providing free financial counseling services to those who qualify and are unable to afford the service on their own. Our vision is to come beside people to help them identify the strategic actions that they need to execute to break free from the bondage and slavery of money for the purpose of preparing for Christ's return.
Future Initiatives
The Fold of Christ is a Christian ministry that is built on innovation and following the Holy Spirit before all else. We are constantly collaborating and discussing innovative ideas that will accomplish our three core values: unity, discipleship, and service. Moreover, we are seeking the Holy Spirit's and commit to following His call even if that means departing initiative so that we can pursue the Holy Spirit's call.
